Background

Devon Wilks began his career in the British SAS as the resident electronics expert for
their raids on terrorist activities. Responsible for maintaining communications between
the SAS members and disrupting or breaking into the communications of the enemy he picked
up cyber modifications replacing his eyes and ears and the implantation of an Encephalon,
VCR, and Cranial RCD to better enable him to break into systems. Over time he picked up
bioware like a cerebral booster to help him hack into secure systems faster, a Trauma
Damper to deal with the constant headaches that his work entailed, and some Muscle
Augmentation to make him feel more like one of the team.
During a very badly disrupted raid on a dockside club called "The Blasted Dock",
Wilks was knocked unconscious by a grenade that sent him flying through a second story
window and onto the docks below. Regaining consciousness momentarily he crawled to the
closest cover that he could find....in a pile of crates destined for the UCAS.
He spent the trip drifting in and out of consciousness waking as they approached
the DeeCee port. The explosion had somehow caused him to forget his past with the SAS,
leaving him only shattered memories and the skills and equipment that he had on him at the
time. The crew of the ship--many of whom were ex-shadowrunners that regularly put in shore
leave at the club that had been raided by the SAS raided--assumed that he was a shadowrunner
from England and gave him the LTG number of a fixer he could get in touch with.
Since then he has been trying to piece back his life. What little he remembered of
England and his life there reminded him of the last James Bond movie that came out. He
believes that it is quite possible that he was a spy for Great Britain, now lost to MI-6,
but he has discovered that life as a shadowrunner is quite satisfying. He really has no
inclination to go back to work for the British government, but he would still like to find
out more about his past. Recently he made friends with a young decker going by the call
sign of AciDbuRn he met on the Matrix and has been using her services to follow leads as
he discovers them.
